Founders & Teaching Staff

The Willa Playschool was founded in 2004 by educators Julie Bisson and Alina Singletary, who created the school on principles of attachment parenting, inspiration from the schools of Reggio-Emilia, anti-bias practices, and peace education.

Teachers at the Willa Playschool are experienced (over 25 years in the ECE field), college educated, loving, tuned in to each child, skilled in emergent curriculum and anti-bias practices, and value working in partnership with families.
